We’re different. What we want out of our travels is very different, too. One might want to connect with nature, whereas another thrives in the hustle and bustle of a city, one might want to travel with his family, one might want to travel alone, one might be at peace at the beach, one might feel rejuvenated in the mountains ; we are all different and we like different things.

We at nomad.travel acknowledge and love this diversity. So we’ve taken the liberty of ‘matching’ the traveller you are with the stay we think will be perfect for you. All these stays are in Goa – a unique destination that can accommodate every type of traveller.

1. The Beach Bum

You love the water, the sand and the sun. You absolutely cherish being near the water and being in the water (also, you don’t mind having fewer clothes on. 😉 ) Where some of us can handle an hour in the sun, the beach bum can spend days. You aren’t too keen on plans and shopping is definitely not on your top 10 things to do. The sound of waves and the smell of ocean feed your soul. The never-ending horizon, does not terrify you, but it invigorates you instead.

For you, the keeper of the past, we recommend the Arco Iris. It is located in Curtorim, a quiet village in South Goa, about 7kms to the east of Margao.  The village is dotted with seasonal lakes and paddy fields. Besides being popular with bird watchers, Curtorim and its adjoining villages house several places of historical interest.

The house itself is styled along colonial Portuguese lines with a high plinth, imposing columns, high ceilings and offers excellent year-round natural ventilation. The house has been restored and renovated, true to its heritage and without compromising the modern day requirement for convenience and comfort.

With a built up area of around 7,000 sq feet, the house comprises an “entrada” (foyer), “sala” (living room), dining room, five guest bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and a fully equipped modern kitchen. Three of the bedrooms open into private balconies. It also has a “balcao” (balcony) in front and a courtyard in the rear.
